I am an eye doctor with a specialist interest in retinal disease and cataract. I have realized that the perception of an individual patient of their health problem can often hinder a successful treatment and by addressing these issues, the outcomes can be much better. I believe that a significant obstacle in addressing the Cyprus issue is public perception and by encouraging societal dialogue and challenging preconceptions we can overcome many obstacles that stand in our way to achieve resilient peace.
